Initially, for a golfer to play the game of golf they need the proper equipment or tools of the trade, so to speak. As every human body differs in size and shape, clubs are also designed to fit the different body type. Traditional equipment for the game used to consist of a Wood or Driver, Irons and a Putter. In 2010, a set of golf clubs now usually includes as many as fourteen clubs including a driver, fairway woods, hybrid clubs, irons, wedges, and putter. These new additions have made the idea of purchasing golf equipment rather overwhelming for the average Joe or Jane wishing to take up the sport.
Footwear is another extremely important component to any golfer's supplies. Golf spikes (preferable soft spikes opposed to obsolete steel spikes), well gripped athletic shoes that will not tear up grass and delicate putting greens or the newly invented retractable spiked shoes are a must for every golfer. Some golf course will deny play if proper footwear is not worn.
Clothing must also be considered as a golf supply because without proper clothing that meets specific golf course dress codes, one might also be denied playing privileges. Although dress codes have become much more lax on the golf course from the previous days of pants, long skirts and full sleeves, collared shirts and bottoms of appropriate length are usually still required.
Moving past the list of ‘must haves’ that every golfer must have, there are a few other supplies that can be useful at some point during a round of golf. A small brush tool for cleaning your clubs while on the go is always a great idea to have around, as well as a good towel to wipe them down. It is always a great idea to make sure there are enough golf balls and tees in your bag to get you through eighteen holes. No one likes to run out of balls on the fourteenth tee. Your favorite ball marker and ball mark repairer to fix any ball marks on the green when putting also should never be left out of your golf bag.
Another great idea to always have packed away in your golf bag is a collection of sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat or visor, a collapsible umbrella and even a small first aid kit available for most sporting stores. Definitely have Band-Aids and tissues packed away somewhere in your bag.
With these supplies, every golfer should have exactly what they need to enjoy their day out on the links.

How to develop a good tempo in your golf swing
Many golfers do not understand the necessity of good tempo to a strong and healthy golf swing. Tempo is an aspect of golf that can not be bought or enhanced, only practiced and found. From back swing, to ball impact and follow through, tempo can be the cause of any strayed or mishit shot. First and foremost, the best advice for finding the tempo appropriate to your golf swing is practice. In the discovery of what swing speed and tempo is most comfortable to you a golfer will learn that no one swing speed or tempo is the same. Uncovered in the following will be pointers on how to develop good tempo within your golf swing.
When practice is discussed here, this does not mean heading out for a leisurely eighteen holes of golf but heading to the range with a certified golf instructor or professional, two or three buckets of balls and a stop watch. Tempo is not a part of the golf game that is always found easily and sometimes buckets and buckets of balls can be hit before even five or six balls are struck well consecutively. The best drill to assist in finding ones tempo is to select the most consistently well hit iron from your bag to hit, generally a seven, eight, or nine iron. After a brief warm up on the range, have your instructor begin timing your swing to find your best tempo.
According to KeepMyScore.com, “…The number one problem with any golfer's swing is that they try to swing too hard…” Swing speed is such an important technical aspect of tempo, if your swing is paced to fast or too slow your club head will not contact the ball on the natural lie and cause a poor shot. If you quit short in your swing instead of letting your tempo pull you through to finishing, there is more chance of your ball straying to the side.
A great drill to keep your tempo steady during the on and off season, is to choke up on a weighted club with only your lead hand and practice a half swing focusing on the transition point of where your club head would impact the ball. This is a great drill that can be done indoors or out to slow swing speed and keep your swing in check during off time.
Another great tip to developing good tempo in your golf swing is to think of a popular saying as a brainteaser, again it is best to consult with a professional before choosing a saying or beat. When searching for tempo in your golf swing, do not let yourself get frustrated. It will take time and lots of practice but eventually timing will come like the tick of a clock. The bad news for golfers though, tempo, much like the game of golf, is a life long pursuit.

Poems of Time: Maybe Next Year
As the full moon announces the strike of midnight tonight
A world of wishes will escape to the sky in offering to the hands of Fate.
A world of kisses will land upon the moments of another New Year
As we close this evening with hopefully all who we hold dear.
Around the room glasses clink and people will cheer
As words of blessings pass cheerfully from ear to ear.
Another new year dawns freshly with the morning light,
Another year of fresh starts we all have in sight
As a world of kisses and well wishes lay heads to rest tonight
A morning dawn will seal those wishes safely in the hands of Fate.

Daily Headlinz: Tiger Woods Steroids Rumors and Dr. Anthony Galea
In regards to earlier reports of new allegations towards our not so 'tigerific' doping Tiger Woods, the rumors seem to be running somewhat of a truthful course.
Although, steroids may be Tiger's suggested drug of choice, the valid reports include more the use of slightly 'shady' enhancements procedures to speed healing and the use of a combination of known (cross-border) illegal enhancement drugs.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are expecting charges to be filed against Galea in Toronto, Canada on Friday.
For the many golfers young and old that only a few weeks ago held Tiger as a hero in their eyes, hopefully this matter of drug use, doping, and horrible publicity that has been following him around will clear itself up in some sort of positive manner.

"Dr. Tony Galea was arrested in October and his Toronto clinic was raided by Canadian authorities after his assistant was detained at the U.S.-Canadian border and reportedly found to be in possession of illegal drugs, including human growth hormone (hGH) and Actovegin - a drug extracted from calf's blood that has been banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency."

"Galea flew to Woods' Windermere, Fla., home to treat the golfer earlier this year with his platelet-rich plasma injection therapy, also known as "blood spinning...
Galea has attracted a mystique in sports medicine circles for his advocacy of the process, which involves spinning blood in a centrifuge and reinjecting it into injured joints in the hope of accelerating healing."Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/....html#ixzz0ZmbBvrTz
